The location of this photo was from the lower highway on the backside of Grandfather Mountain in NC.  The time was late fall and early in the morning.

This photo was taken late in the evening on South Holston Lake in northeast Tennessee.  We waited until late so we could get some definition of the mountain in the background by the shadows.

This scene is of Powell Valley near Big Stone Gap, VA.  We were passing by at just the right time to record this as we were on our way to Kentucky.  The sun had not burned off the fog yet.

This scene was made a few minutes earlier as you can see by the fog being heavier.  I am proud to say this is my birthplace over 60 years ago!  There are a lot more houses here now than 60 years ago, hehe.
